Motor Coach Trip to Biltmore House
This special side trip was the most popular Ladies Event in 2011, so we decided to offer it again. For those not familiar with the area, Biltmore House in Asheville NC was the palatial private home of the Vanderbilts of steam ship and railroad tycoon fame. Famous as the largest private residence in the United States for decades, it is now owned by the state of North Carolina and open for tours. A motor coach bus will leave the Convention area on Thursday morning for an all day trip away from the world of trains. There will be a tour of the Biltmore House, a buffet lunch on the grounds, time to explore the fantastic Biltmore Gardens, and an extended stop at the Biltmore Winery. Those who made this trip in 2011 came back to Hickory very Happy!!!
Cost for this all day event is $142 per person. This covers everything, including all admissions and buffet lunch. Be sure to check the box on the Extra Fare Registration form to add this trip to your packet. The Convention Committee does reserve the right to cancel this trip if not enough register for it. If the trip is cancelled refunds will be given during the convention.
